(ਨ੍ਹ) - ਪੈਰ-ਰ - Paer rarra.

Name: Paer rarra
Shape: ਕ੍ਰ ਗ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰ ਬ੍ਰ
Spelling: ਪੈਰ-ਰ
Drawing:

Like the other 'paer' letters, you can follow on with the end of the downward stroke that finishes off the first letter you were drawing as in the case of the ਪ in the animation of the word 'Programme'.

Unusually for the 'paer' letters, paer rara looks little like a rara. However, when you consider that a rara and a haha look fairly similar, this is not a bad thing.

Note that in the case of ਗ, it is convenient to draw it in after the first down-stroke, effectively half way through writing the letter.

Sound: The effect of a paer rara is to eliminate the implicit 'a' after the 'p' so that you have 'pra' instead of 'para'.

You can, of course, use a paer rara after any letter but you will find that for the reason that rara uses the tip of the tongue at the teeth, any letter that prevents that alignment from happening fairly quickly is going to fail or at least, be difficult to accomplish in a convincing manner. For example, ਟ, ਠ, ਡ, ਢ, ਣ and ੜ all keep the tip of your tongue occupied in the middle of your mouth.
